I am Matt Sergent and I am proud and excited to announce my candidacy for the Republican nomination for State Representative of the 54th District of Missouri.

As a husband, father, and small business owner, I can empathize with the people of our community.

Strong leadership and fiscal management are crucial in these difficult economic times. As a staunch conservative I will represent the people (constituents) of the 54th District with the same energy and tenacity that characterizes my work on the Warrensburg School Board and as a small business owner (Get Er Done Heating & Cooling).

I can’t wait to get out and hear from the people of the 54th District and show them what leadership and heart can do with a hard work ethic.

I have lived in Johnson County, Missouri for over 27 years. Even though we were not raised in this area, my wife Mindy and I have raised my daughter here, and we are proud to call Johnson County our home.

I have owned and operated Get Er Done Heating & Cooling for 20 years and I am proud to service this community. Prior to opening my small business, I worked at Stahls for almost 7 years and Enersys for 1.5 years. (Where I worked with great people and gained experience and knowledge).

Missourians deserve a state and national government with the vision to see the bright future ahead and the effective leadership to guide us there. I pledge to continue providing both the vision and the effective leadership Missourians deserve.
